Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actress and television presenter. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead character in various television dramas. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also highly praised. The other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several notable international and national projects. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
